HeartGuard - Cardiovascular Wellness & Risk Panel

A cardiovascular-focused panel built for men and women who want to understand and improve their heart health. This test includes a full lipid panel to assess cholesterol and triglycerides, hsCRP and Homocysteine to evaluate inflammation and cardiovascular risk, and Fasting Glucose to understand your metabolic response. Liver markers (ALT, AST, GGT, Bilirubin) are included because liver health influences how your body processes cholesterol and toxins. HeartGuard helps identify hidden risks and gives you actionable data to make heart-smart changes.

Cholesterol

Total Cholesterol
Gives a snapshot of all the cholesterol in your blood. Helps assess overall heart health.

HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein)
Known as the “good” cholesterol. Higher levels help remove excess cholesterol from your bloodstream.

LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein)
The “bad” cholesterol that can build up in artery walls and raise your risk of heart disease.

Triglycerides
A type of fat found in the blood. Elevated levels are linked to increased cardiovascular risk, especially when combined with high LDL or low HDL.

Inflammatory Markers

CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
A highly sensitive marker of inflammation made by the liver. Even small increases in CRP can reveal hidden inflammation that may stress the heart and blood vessels. Elevated levels are linked to higher risk of heart disease, stroke, and vascular problems, making CRP a valuable tool for assessing long-term cardiovascular health.

Homocysteine
An amino acid that, when elevated, may damage blood vessels and increase the risk of heart attacks, strokes, or blood clots.

Blood Sugar Control

Insulin
Evaluates fasting insulin levels, providing insight into how well the body manages blood sugar. Elevated insulin may indicate insulin resistance — an early warning sign for diabetes, metabolic dysfunction, and increased cardiovascular risk.

Liver Function

ALT (Alanine Aminotransferase)
A liver enzyme that helps assess liver cell health. Elevated ALT can point to liver stress.

AST (Aspartate Aminotransferase)
Works with ALT to check for liver injury. Also found in other tissues like the heart and muscles.

GGT (Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase)
An enzyme involved in bile processing. Elevated levels may suggest bile duct or liver issues.

Bilirubin
A substance produced when red blood cells break down. High levels may indicate problems with the liver or bile flow.
